Moz is considered a great SEO tool for bloggers and small businesses.
Even I was a big fan of Moz in the year 2014 but now there are several other SEO tools that are better than Moz.
I used Moz to track my backlinks but believe me, it’s not a really good tool for backlink analysis. It takes a lot of time to update their database.
Another drawback is its pricing which starts from $99/month. Do you think it’s worth the money?
I don’t think so.
So today, I am going to create a list of cheap and reliable Moz alternatives for your SEO success.
I have compiled the 8 best cheap and reliable Moz alternatives in this post which are budget-friendly and offer great features that will help you with the SEO.
SEMrush is one of the best Moz alternatives. It’s a favorite tool for digital marketers, even for me. It costs $99.95 every month (Same as Moz, but delivers a hell lot of more features), and you can get 3000 reports per day and can create 5 campaigns and track 500 keywords with the basic plan.
SEMrush has the largest database for various countries. Recently, I was setting up an e-commerce store with Indians as targeted audience and for that, I was looking for a keyword research tool. I am glad that I found SEMrush that helped me dig low competition keywords targeted for the Indian audience.
I have used SEMrush to find low competition keywords with low volume but for defined audience and it helped me make $3495 in 2-3 months. I used keywords with just 10-15 search volume but they really worked very well because affiliate commissions were high for that product.
If you spy your competitors’ sites, SEMrush is a boon for you. I use it mainly for spying my competitors’ backlinks and the keywords they are ranking for. It worked really great for me.
- Scheduled PDF Reports
- Keyword research
- Traffic analytics
- Crawl up to 100000 pages
- 10000 results per report
- Analyze backlinks
- Find profitable keywords
- Analyze paid campaigns success
- Perform full site audit
2. Long Tail Pro
SEMrush is a great (and one of my best) tools to find long tail and low competition keywords but Long Tail Pro can do a lot more than that. It’s a great tool to find keyword for any competitive niche and one of the best Moz alternatives as compared to pricing.
The basic plan starts from $37/month.
- 10,000 keywords searches/month
- Keyword Competitiveness Score
- Determine Keyword Profitability
- Pre-filter Keywords
- Custom keyword difficulty level for domains
3. Majestic SEO
Majestic SEO is another best alternative for Moz. Majestic SEO is not a single tool for SEO, it’s a bundle pack that helps you with SEO. With this amazing software, you can explore any website in detail.
It’s also a well-known tool for backlink analysis (not better than Ahrefs) proved to give a detailed backlink report of any domain. You can even analyze a keyword difficulty and get to know how much efforts you need to put into rank for it.
I used Majestic SEO when I analyzed the expired domains for building my blog network. Its Trust flow and citation flow metrics that I used to check before buying an expired domain.
The pricing starts at $51/month (for Lite plan) which I think is budget-friendly and worth the money. Isn’t it?
- Search Explorer
- Historic Index – Backlink data for the last 5 years available
- Keyword Checker
- Clique Hunter – Finds domains that are linking to more than one competitor
- Neighbourhood Checker
- URL Submitter
- Compare Tool
- Bulk Backlink Checker
- Use OpenApps
I consider Ahrefs as a better SEO tool than my Majestic SEO and the best Moz alternative as it’s a bigger bundle of SEO tools consisting of competitive analysis, keyword analysis, backlink analysis, content research, rank tracking and web monitoring. Though, Majestic SEO has its own unique features such as TF and CF analysis which I love the most.
I consider Ahrefs as the best Moz alternative because its bots are smart enough to index backlinks faster than any other SEO tool ever built. I mainly use it for spying my competitors’ backlink profile.
Its pricing starts from $99/month. which is same as Moz but many offers many quality tools for SEO.
- A huge backlink database
- Content Explorer: No need to spend money on BuzzSumo
- Keyword rank: Why waste money on rank trackers? 🙂
- Well-known tool for backlink analysis
Not a great tool for keyword research. For keyword research, I recommend SEMrush and naked eye analysis! 😉
5. SEO PowerSuite
SEO Powersuite is a desktop based software mainly useful for on-page SEO audit, keyword research, rank tracking, etc. If you are trying different SEO tools and not getting desired results for your blog then this tool can be handy for you.
I have been using SEO Powersuite for my blog and have seen great results. The software comes with four awesome tools in the package:
- Rank Tracker
- Website Auditor
- SEO SpyGlass
- Link Assistant
I want you to specifically refer to this link for SEO Powersuite features as there are 4 tools so it would be difficult for me to summarize its features in this short list.
6. Raven Tools
Raven is a powerful tool to monitor SEO and social media campaigns. You can perform full SEO audit of your website and have a complete analysis of your on-page SEO, links, page speed, keyword rankings, etc.
The pricing starts with $99/month which allows crawling up to 10000 pages per site with a total monthly crawl limit of 50000. You can run unlimited marketing campaigns and get free email-based help and training.
- Automated Marketing Reports
- Fix SEO Issues
- Get Data That You Want
- Run Campaigns Without Limits
7. Tiny Ranker
Tiny Ranker is Google rank tracker and on-page SEO tool. I can’t say that it’s a perfect alternative to Moz as it comes with very limited features as compared to all other tools mentioned in the list.
But if you are specifically looking for a tool that can help you with Google rank tracking and On-page SEO, then it’s a good option but if you’re looking for a tool for backlink analysis then, it’s not for you.
- On-Page SEO Optimization
- Track Keyword Positions
- Easy task management
- Spy your SEO competitors
SpyFu is a tool specially developed for online marketers who rely on Paid Marketing. Although it can be used for Organic marketing but I believe it’s a much better tool for PPC than SEO.
As the name says ‘Spy’, that’s what for the tool is.
It helps you dive into your competitors’ strategies to outrank them in search engines as well as PPC.
The basic plan starts with $33/month that gives you the following overwhelming benefits.
- Unlimited Search Results
- Unlimited Data Exports
- 250 Sales Leads & Domain Contact
- 5000 Weekly Tracked Keyword Rankings
- 10000 Top Lists Results
There can be much more Moz alternatives, but I have compiled the ones that I have personally used and found reliable. The above cheap and reliable alternatives of Moz will definitely help you in your SEO success.
